The loungewear of dreams, especially if you dream of a world in which fabrics aren’t so heavy on the environment. prAna’s Cozy-Up ankle pant is a new addition to their range of soft, comfy clothing that can take you from bed, to the coffee shop, on to the yoga class, and back to bed again. It’s made from 55% hemp, which has more good qualities than almost any other fabric right now. It’s naturally breathable, temperature regulating, odour resistant (so you really can wear it for days), durable, softer than cotton, stronger than cotton and requires far less water than cotton to grow. As fabrics go, it’s one of the best out there. The rest is recycled polyester for increased durability and lyocell for even more softness. 1. Natural Waist: This is your natural waist
2. Hips: Standing with your feet together, measure around the fullest part of your hip
3. Inseam: Grab your favorite pair of jean/pants. Measure the inseam starting at the crotch seam to the bottom of the pant leg (round to the nearest 1/2 inch)

The need for shorts that offered supreme comfort and mobility was the starting point for PrAna, the California brand founded in 1992 by husband-and-wife team Beaver and Pam Theodosakis. Working out of a small garage in the coastal city of Carlsbad, the duo set out on a journey to make stylish and functional activewear. But there was a higher purpose too – namely, respect for the planet and its people. From the outset, they committed to sustainability and lessening the environmental impact of everything they made.

It was an ethos rooted in the realisation that everything is connected. This concept was encapsulated in the name that Beaver and Pam chose for their brand, prana. It’s a Sanskrit word that literally translates as ‘breath’, but which refers to the universal energy that flows within and among us, connecting us with all other living beings. So, for PrAna, what you wear matters. It matters firstly because clothing that gives you the freedom to move inspires you to chase adventures and stay active. But secondly, it matters because sustainable clothing lessens our impact on the planet. It’s the right thing to do – and the right thing to wear.
