Taking design cues from the iconic mid-century ‘super compressor’ silhouette, it features double knurled, triple-sealed crowns and a bolted case back that is both water- and shock-resistant. Understated dials with subtle metallic hands contrast with a matt, brushed or polished metal case and ultra-clear indexes inspired by military instrumentation. The Swiss-made movement has a three-year battery life and is secured inside a unique shock-absorbing steel housing. The case is machined from solid 316L marine grade stainless steel, which develops a gorgeous patina over time. The internal rotating bezel is operated by the upper crown and is damped for a silent, smooth action.

Based in Dorset, Ian Elliot and Alex Brown both live and breathe a coastal, outdoor lifestyle where salt water, sand and mud place huge demands on kit. But with professional backgrounds in horology and materials sciences, they were well placed to imagine and execute the most durable watches on the planet.

That ethos naturally led to collaborations with some of the most demanding users – round-the-world yachtsmen, firefighters, RNLI crews, Mountain Rescue teams and even British military special forces units. These challenges helped the duo to hone the design of each and every Elliot Brown watch to perfection.
